Join wildlife artist Robert Louis Caldwell as he once again travels back to Kenya Africa on a 12 day safari in August 2023. Robert fell in love with Africa the moment he stepped off the plane in 2012 and he now is inviting a group of friends to join on his next adventure.
Under the limitless blue sky of East Africa lives a wild animal population that is staggering in sheer numbers and variety. Whether a novice traveler or world explorer, nothing stimulates the senses and ignites the imagination with the same intensity as a safari to Africa.
On safari in Kenya you will explore Taita Hills Conservancy, Tsavo West National Park, Amboseli National Park and Maasai Mara National Resreve. While traveling in such diverse habitats, you experience unparalled wildlife viewing opportunities. You will stay in deluxe tented camps and lodges and will explore villages and local communities, and be accompanied by highly skilled safari guides.

DAY 1 – AUGUST 14 - USA
DAY 2 – AUGUST 15 - ARRIVE NAIROBI (NBO)
Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by Safari Legacy
and transferred to your hotel for check in. Overnight Emara Ole Serena Hotel. (meals in-flight) https://emara.ole-sereni.com/
DAY 3 – AUGUST 16 - NAIROBI / TRAIN TO VOI / TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK & TAITA HILLS CONSERVANCY
After a very early breakfast, we board the train and enjoy a scenic 4-hour train excursion to Voi Station where you will be met by your Safari Legacy Safari guides. Continue to the Taita Hills Conservancy arriving at Salt Lick Safari Lodge in time for lunch. Enjoy your first afternoon game drive in Taita Hills Conservancy, a 28,000 - acre wildlife conservancy which straddles the Southern Tsavo West National Park and is an important dispersal area and migrating corridor for wildlife between Tsavo East National Park and Tsavo West National Park. Overnight Salt Lick Safari Lodge, a luxurious safari escape set in the heart of the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary overlooking a waterhole and the vast Tsavo plains. DAY 4 – AUGUST 17 - TAITA HILLS CONSERVANCY – TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK

DAY 5 – AUGUST 18 - TSAVO WEST / AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Today we travel to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for an afternoon game drive.

DAY 6 – AUGUST 19 - AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Amboseli National Park is known for its magnificent elephants – a population of over 1,000 elephants reside in the park’s eco-system that features some of the largest in Africa. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives as we explore this picturesque national park. Overnight at Kibo Safari Camp. (BLD)
DAY 7 – AUGUST 20 - FLY AMBOSELI / NAIROBI / MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE (WEST)
This morning we say goodbye to our safari guides and fly on Air Kenya to the Maasai Mara via
Nairobi. On arrival at the Ol-Kiombo Airstrip, we are met by our new Safari Legacy safari guide team
and travel to the Mara Explorer Camp, situated on a broad, thickly forested bend of the Talek River

DAYS 8 – 10 – AUGUST 21 – 23 - MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Full days exploring the Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Overnight Mara Explorer Camp. (BLD)
An optional hot air balloon safari over the Maasai Mara is available on request and at an additional cost. This excursion will be in lieu of your morning game drive. Advance Reservation is suggested.
DAY 11 – AUGUST 24 - FLY MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE TO NAIROBI / DEPARTURE
Early morning breakfast before we transfer to the Keekerok Airstrip for our Kenya Air flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival at the Wilson Airport, you will be met by Safari Legacy and transferred to the Carnivore Restaurant for lunch. After lunch, transfer to our dayrooms at the Crown Plaza Airport Hotel. Later transfer to the airport for your outbound flight. (BL)
